This property has 1 water well with piping but the water is not drinkable according to water studies performed. The majority of properties in the South Caribbean have private wells and they use this water for showers, irrigation and cleaning. For drinking water, they use rain water collection tanks and water purchased from private companies (For Example: Florida Ice & Farm Co.). There are plans to build an aqueduct to supply this area with drinking water, but it is not clear as to when they are planning to begin building it. The property has electricity from ICE at the front gate. There is an internal road that goes from the entrance of the property all the way to the beach. It has approximately 300 meters of beach frontage and the farm is clean and fenced. The road from Puerto Viejo to Manzanillo (which passes in front of the property) was recently declared a national road, so it has been transferred from the local Municipality of Talamanca to the Costa Rica government. This means that the road will be paved. |
